Sunday school is where many people first meet the Word, yet it is often the least organised ministry in the church. Registers live on paper, lessons are photocopied, and every January someone spends a weekend working out which child belongs in which class.
Classes by age and level
Create a class for each stage, from nursery to adults, and add special ones such as a new members' class or a language group. Each class has its room, its teachers and its students, so nobody has to ask where to go.
Attendance on a phone
On Sunday, the teacher opens the class on their phone and taps each child who is present. You can also record visitors, the offering and whether the memory verse was said, then submit. The church's whole Sunday school at a glance is ready before the service ends.
Your own lessons
Write a lesson in the app or upload it with files, import a whole term from a spreadsheet, or copy last year's term and adjust it. Lessons stay in your library, so a new teacher is never starting from a blank page.
A teacher rota that works
Teachers accept, decline or swap from a link and get a reminder two days before their turn. If a class has no teacher, you know on Thursday, not on Sunday morning.
Promotion Sunday in one step
Instead of sorting children by hand, ChurchBright shows who moves up based on their date of birth. Change any row you disagree with, apply the whole list in one step, and undo it within 30 days if you made a mistake.
Parents stay in the picture
In the member app, parents see their child's class, teachers, the lesson, the memory verse and the take-home questions, so the conversation can continue at the dinner table.
If you teach children, the best gift you can give your volunteers is less admin. Start with attendance this Sunday and add lessons and the rota once the register is working.
